My 2nd time at this hotel. It doesn't look much from outside and the reception is the size of a small cupboard, but don't let that put you off! The staff are very welcoming and friendly. My room was clean and sufficient for my needs. The towels could do with being a little bigger and there are no shower curtains over the bath. This is not unusual in Paris, but in a small bathroom it is irritating. On the plus side, the hotel is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of so many things and the Metro is just a couple of minutes away. I will definitely return. The huge amount of restaurants nearby makes it a plus for single travellers, as does the location.

Our daughter recommended the hotel Daunou as she loved it. We were equally impressed by it's great location, cleanliness and helpful staff. The leather wall, headboard and chair add a simple aire of elegance and we had a wonderful king size bed. Our room was very quiet with a nice marble bathroom with a huge soaking tub. The hand shower could be attached to the wall to use as a shower, as Americans like to do. So a shower curtain and rod would have been very helpful but not as Parisian. Also when exiting the elevator the halls are rather dark but there is a illuminated light switch to your right and one next to your door that turns on all the hall lights and doesn't waste electricity needlessly, a great idea. We plan to return there in the Spring and have thanked our daughter for her great recommendation.
