Cabarets and classic cars on Valentine’s Day in Paris

In February there is so much to do in the City of Light! For Valentine’s Day, lovers can experience a magical evening enjoying one of the famous Parisian cabarets. Meanwhile, classic car enthusiasts will find their happiness at the Retromobile trade show.

French Cancan at the Paradis Latin

The Paradis Latin is the oldest cabaret in Paris. Located on a historic site on the Left Bank, the venue was rebuilt by none other than Gustave Eiffel in 1889. On Tuesday, February 14th, this iconic music hall offers couples a fantastic night. Enjoy a candlelit dinner with a special menu followed by the Paradis Latin revue featuring the breath-taking French Cancan. Balloons and rose petals finish the spectacle in fine style. The whole package is just €160.

28, Rue du Cardinal-Lemoine 75005 Paris. Tel: 01 43 25 28 28 or 01 43 29 63 63. E-mail: [email protected].

Désirs and sensuality at Crazy Horse

Audacity, creativity, femininity and sensuality… These four words summarise perfectly the magical universe of Crazy Horse, situated on the Avenue George-V in the 8th arrondissement. The most avant-garde of Parisian cabarets has concocted a special programme for the evenings of February 12th, 13th and 14th. You have two options to choose from: Crazy Saint-Valentin at €155.00 (the Désirs show with a half-bottle of pink champagne and a photo souvenir) and Saint-Valentin Premium at €175.00 (includes an extra gourmet experience).

12, Avenue George-V 75008. Tel: 01 47 23 32 32. E-mail: [email protected].

A fin-de-siècle ambience at the Moulin Rouge

For romantics visiting Paris, there is nothing like an evening at the legendary Moulin Rouge. Established in 1889, the venue is located at the bottom of the hill of Montmartre, in Pigalle. Today, its Belle Époque decor evokes the spirit of its bohemian past. This is where the French Cancan came to the forefront of popularity. On February 14th, this music-hall will offer lovers its Féerie revue as part of a dinner-show evening (€235) or just an evening show with drinks (€120).

82, Boulevard de Clichy 75018. Tel: 01 53 09 82 82. E-mail: [email protected]

Cabaret de la Saint-Valentin at the César Palace

On February 14th the César Palace will offer a heady cocktail of love, spectacle and fun! This restaurant-show venue, established more than 20 years ago in the legendary Montparnasse district, will offer couples a dinner show for €120. The evening features a special menu with a half bottle of rosé champagne, a humorous revue and dancing.

23, Avenue du Maine 75015. Tel: 01 45 44 46 20. E-mail: [email protected].

Retromobile Show

Retromobile, the international vintage and classic cars show, will be held at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre from February 8th to 12th. An exhibition of historic manufacturers such as the French marque Ballot, which enjoyed great success in the 20s, plus auctions and experts are just some of the attractions of this gathering of enthusiasts. Don’t miss the last surviving examples of the earliest French tanks and a reconstruction of a stretch of the Sacred Way as it was during the First World War!
